Frostbite!

Post by HatePirate »

Arg!
I got frostbite on my knuckles at work!
It's only mild though; no amputations necessary.
I took the whole day off.

I hate my job.

(Post, fuckers.)

I just bought some advertising on facebook. I was hoping for some reaction to that - but apparently nothing :(

I don't care if you click it - as long as you come here!

Weird thing is that it was supposed to be all day Thursday - but they didn't start it until midnight tonight. I guess their calendar is off by a day

The lease on the domain and the server are up in January - if anyone knows of a good server for ~$10/month or less that provides good bandwidth, shell access, and preferably IMAP e-mail please let me know!

Oh oh! I know! :D
servage.net!
Here are the specifics:
15 gigs of space
330 gigs of monthly bandwidth
Unlimited email accounts (both IMAP and POP3)
Free domain or domain transfer and free setup
Free whois privacy
An SMTP server
Unlimited FTP accounts
Unlimited subdomains
and 99.98% server uptime.

$7.50 a month.
I've had a site hosted there forever. Haven't updated it since February, and there isn't much (any) content, but it's always been up.

Damn, wish it had shell access!!! I would pay double if it came with that - but that's a nice looking system. I probably will move unless I find something comparable WITH shell access.

On another note. Facebook ads brought bearnotes 3 hits and no new members or posters :(

Why do you need/want shell access?

So that I can run server programs I write and test them with real loads. I don't have a public IP to run and test them myself other than on a small simulation scale on my box.
