Probably because it was just the wrong kind of RAM for his motherboard.

Correct. Didn't work in my computer. Wrong kind of RAM. I was sort of buying blind as I bought it while I didn't know for sure what kind my computer used.

$69 for a DDR333 512? I can get a DDR400 512 for less than that. You were ripped off.
