I'm gonna have to go with either Taco Bell or Subway. Maybe Wendy's.
99% of the restaurants in Springfield are national chains. Hmmm.
Crosstown BBQ! They kick ass!

Crosstown BBQ. I've never actually been to the resaurant on Division, but I ate one of their sandwiches at Artsfest in 2001. It wasn't bad but it was close to $4! I don't know if that's Artsfest prices or their regular price.

All of my favorite places are gone. There is a high restaurant turnover rate in Springfield. People make their money and move on.

I used to like Bamboo House. They had the most tender orange chicken I've ever had. Kim's Korean BBQ on Jefferson--I wonder if anyone here remembers that! They had a dish called Koko chicken, it was awesome! Both of these great places are gone.

Mexican Villa on National is alright. My folks like the sanchos. I usually get the enchilada-style burrito.

Ever been to Big Fat Burrito? Their burritos are ginormous, although I don't really care for them. Their ingredients are basic. If they would increase their selection of ingredients to include some spices and alternative filling, it would be great. Black beans aren't my thing.

I went to Great Wall on S. Glenstone. You load your plate up with raw meat and walk over to a window in the wall. Tell them what sauce you want on your meat and wait for them to cook it for you. There is a similar place on Chestnut and Glenstone, but I forgot what it's called.

Aunt Martha's Pancake House. Try the biscuits. The biscuits are very good. They have every kind of pancake known to man. I'm not a pancake freak, or I would rate this one a lot higher. Also, their tiny drink glasses annoy the hell out of me.

Dairy Queen on Jefferson, across the street from the alumni center. They open early and they close early. Their large drinks are $1.25. Their double burgers are slightly crispy on the outside and juicy on the inside. Their onion rings are very good. It's run by an elderly couple. Nice people.

Celito Lindo's. Dear God, do not go to the one on Glenstone (I've only been to this one). If they are all this bad, don't go to any of them. They put some kind of "sauce" on my enchiladas that looked and tasted like tomato paste. It may very well have been tomato paste. It was supposed to be hot sauce. The blandest Mexican food I have ever had.
