is that college trig? I was a math tutor for a year and a half and if you need help I can help you out, however, I haven't taken the class here so I wouldn't know.

about MTH 138

I would not suggest taking this course with Gary Stafford. Stafford knows math and he knows it well, and he kind of thinks he is on cloud 9 all the time. Use those rate your professor sites and see which one is the best to take. All I can warn you about is Gary. If you take it with him and your not math savvy, watch out!!!!

Whatever instructor you have, gets lots of tutoring. As much as you can get if you have trouble with this type of math and study hours. I think most students on rate your professor sites spends like 5 hours a day on this subject. I'm sure the math whizzes on campus can learn it quicker.

I took this course with Gary Stafford and learned that I guess I wasn't cut out for math. However, I had many years of high school math, but I guess that was too easy or something.

If you received an A or B in MTH 135 and/or MTH 181 then you should have little trouble in this course. Just make sure you understand the concepts and principles that were taught in intermediate algebra (mth 103) and college algebra (mth 135). Because without it, your ****ed.

I found the precalculus solution manual and tutoring to be extremely helpful.

Remember, take Gary Stafford at your own risk.

One more thing, in all honesty, the best thing to do is try to take this course at a smaller college. Sometimes smaller colleges will hold their hand out and help you a lot more through all this stuff than universities will.

Anyway, good luck with this horrific course.

By the way, you could always find an instructor of the opposite gender and go to their office after all other students has gone home or not in the building and say to them, I will do anything to pass math 138.

But then again, they might respond with, really?

Yes!!!

Anything at all.

Yes you name it, I'll do it.

Could you study?

Then that might make you use a little nasty profanity at them. But then again, it might not. It might make you want to study.

Later,

Kevin
