Sam, I must say I pity you about taking ACC 301 with Chaloupecky. I had that class along with ACC 311 with Greer and I switched my major because of it. So anyway my schedule is...
Summer:
ECO 346 with Dr. Bell
Fall:
ECO 302 with Dr. Wyrick (who rocks BTW)
FGB 584 with Dr. Bowdidge
MGT 487 with Dr. Boyd
CIS 429 with Crockett
GEP 397 with Frizell (if I can get back into Honors College I'll have it with Hughes)
And then I'm gradumackated.... YAY!!!!

psykostitch-if you end up sticking with Frizell, you should be okay. I liked him when I had him for IDS 110. Also, I know he's taught GEP 397 several times before, so he should know what he's doing.
My Fall schedule:
ENG 235 with Jane Hoogestraat
JPN 101 with Janet Akaike-Toste
ENG 341 with Katherine Lederer
CHM 107...Sam, out of curiosity, what sections did you get for lecture and lab? We might end up in the same one for either or both.
HST 101 with Dale Streeter

Ahhh...Lederer. Kenshiro, be ready to learn about the civil rights movement. The only learning you do is through the research you do for papers (you might do them). She gets really off topic in lectures. I had her in the Fall 2002 for ENG 287 (which was supposed to be honors) and she was doing the exact same course for her upperdivision classes that semester, maybe more readings, but definitely the same thing. Just giving you a heads up.Kenshiro wrote: ENG 341 with Katherine Lederer

Don't worry, it is an easy little class, if you had chemistry in high school. I had it a few semesters ago. The labs were actually fun because you do stuff like get DNA out of an onion or see how much fatty acid is in a potato chip (yup these were the labs). Downside I had a rocket scientist for a lecturer and noone knew what on earth he was talking about. Luckily I think we all scored poorly enough on the final for him to give us all A's. Plus he doesn't teach that class anymore.Sam wrote:Lemme seeee.... Section for C the lecture and section 315 for the lab. Oh it's going to be so much fun I love chemistry.

And this is the second part of English Lit Survey, so something tells me she's gonna spend a LOT of time on Dickens. I dunno whether we'll do research papers or not, but I won't be surprised. This is an evening session, too... (had to choose this as a backup because ENG 315 was closed)psykostitch wrote: Ahhh...Lederer. Kenshiro, be ready to learn about the civil rights movement. Section B for lecture and section 1 for the lab. I've never even had chemistry, so it ought to be doubly fun for me.Sam wrote:Lemme seeee.... Section for C the lecture and section 315 for the lab. Oh it's going to be so much fun I love chemistry.

Well, from some close associates of mine (actual CIS majors to be exact), he is really cool to take in general. However I had to change my schedule around so temporarily I have Zhong Hong or something like that for CIS 429, just waiting to get in a morning section with Crockett (just because I had to drop my summer class and add it on for fall). But thanks for the tip!solid_dave wrote:don't count yourself graduated until the end of the semester if ya got Crockett, you already should know this if you've had him.psykostitch wrote: CIS 429 with Crockett

Good luck with that one! Janet is very outspoken! I had her for JPN 101, 102, and 201. I couldn't handle her for another semester for 202 quite yet. I tookd Japanese in high school so she expected a lot but was very rude about it.Kenshiro wrote:JPN 101 with Janet Akaike-Toste
I am in that class also! She is also my advisor. Odd lady, but nice i guess.sketchy1 wrote:journalism 371 - mary pardue

it looks like for the most part I don't have any classes with any of you... here's mine
PHY 203 A - John Carter
PHY 203 2 - ?
PLS 101 8 - Stacy Ulbig
REL 101 7 - Lamoine Devries
MTH 345 1 - John Kubicek (dear God please help me...)
CHM 160 2 - Shujun Su
MTH and CHM classes didn't have teachers listed at the time I enrolled, and I almost hate Kubicek as a teacher (but he's cool as a guy outside of class). I don't know Su but I fear it won't be easy...

Yet another followup on this...

Unfortunately (or perhaps fortunately), I've gotten to experience none of this. Lederer handed the class off to Clark Closser, so he's teaching it instead. So far, it's been pretty fun. Which is a shame...I was ready to learn all about the civil rights movement...psykostitch wrote:Ahhh...Lederer. Kenshiro, be ready to learn about the civil rights movement. November 9
A man goes to a psychiatrist, and tells him "Doc, I think I have an obsession with sex." The doctor agrees to examine him and begins by showing him various drawings. First the doctor draws a square and asks the man to identify it. The man immediate ly says "sex". Next the doctor draws a circle, which the man again identifies as sex. Thirdly, the doctor draws a triangle, which of course the patient identifies as "sex". The doctor puts the drawings away and says to the patient, "Yes, I do believe t hat you have an obsession with sex." To which the man replies, "I'm not the one with the obsession! YOU'RE the one drawing all the dirty pictures!"
