ok, so I'm sitting in the union, eating on of them really good gooey Churchill's brownies. I overhear something to this effect.
"Yeah, but dude, this magazine I was reading overlayed the Sine Wave that your power supply created and it's identical to the one in an Alienware [insert model number here]..."
.....
I don't know what magazine would compare sine waves of computer power supplies, but uh... yeah, if they were Fashion Design majors, I'd buy everyone on this board a pizza.

Ok, that's just sad and pathetic, and I don't think they were CS majors. I do agree that they probably weren't fashion design majors though.
Biggest problem with even caring about pointing out this comparison (which also makes me wonder what magazine they were talking about) is that Sine waves go INTO the power supply (out of the wall) - so they are the same going into EVERYTHING electric. . . . 115V RMS @ 60Hz. However, no Sine wave should EVER come OUT of a computer power supply, as everything in a computer runs off of DC power.
Still. . . . .sad sad day. They need to get out more!

Well there's that and the lingering smell of Cheetos and Vaseline Intensive Care.solid_dave wrote:ok, so I'm sitting in the union, eating on of them really good gooey Churchill's brownies. I overhear something to this effect.
