Thinking of making a web show...

Post by HatePirate »

A few friends and I are going to begin production of a new web series. Our server has 82 gigs of bw and plenty of space. We're going to get 2 Canon XL2s and probably edit with Final Cut Pro. The shows are probably going to be a combo of sketch comedy, random acts of stupidity, messing with people in public, fake documentaries, whatever the hell we feel like. We'll upload every clip in 2 different formats, one for HiSpeed, one for low. What I'm wondering is: How successful would you think a site like this would be (assuming it was fucktastically funny)? Any good ideas you'd like to see made into a short clip (anywhere from a few minutes to 20 minutes)? We'd be more than happy to give credit for any submitted ideas. After camera and equipment cost, we'll have a budget of about 2000-2500 for props, extra equipment, etc.

BTW: We have access to: 400+ acres of land, atv's, motorcycles, a bulldozer, a pool, forklifts, a tractor, enough equipment and wood to build anything, skateboards (although I think people are getting sick of skateboard footage), a Mustang, a Civic del Sol, an '86 Jeep Cherokee (it's a beast), a recording studio, etc., shit...we have a bunch of stuff.

Have the Bulldozer push the Mustang into the pool. Make it something like "When warning labels aren't read on cold medicine" or something

(the "Do not operate heavy machinery" warning)
