BearNotes Bowling

Post by Sam »

December 3rd. BearNotes bowling. Same place as last semester: Enterprize Park Lanes at 7:30 p.m.

Flyers to go up as soon as a few of you second this date and time. Sorry for letting the website traffic slip as of late, been very busy. Hopefully I can end this semester with a bang, I hope to see at least 10-15 of you out there again.

Prizes! (each wins a FREE Go-Roman t-shirt!!)
Highest Score
Goofiest Bowler (this will probably go to Denise :))

Also, whatever Go Roman shirts are left after handing out the two as prizes will be available for sale, possibly at a discount, just to get some more of you out there! (I only have like 5 left).

Let me know what you think!

My schedule is at someone else's discretion right now, but if I'm in Springfield on the 3rd, I'll be there.

Yeah, my schedule is kind of at someone else's discretion too (although probably unknowingly). I think it would be a good idea though, last year was fun!

As far as the awards, will Denise even be there? She did "boycott" bearnotes after all.

Mine is at the discretion of some bitch sitting in the Pentagon and laughing her ass off every time she yanks my leash.

I got paged out of a class last Monday afternoon, found myself in an unmentionable place that evening, spent four days doing pushups until I threw up all over myself, then dragged my ass back to Springfield to find out that I'd forgotten to tell the very angry department head I was leaving.

Rumor has it this is a precursor to finding my ass back on active duty and assigned to some shit hole for another year or so.

So much for that degree.

I'm so there. Afterwards, those of you 21+ are welcome to come over the Outland for a brew or seven.

So what? Most of us aren't exactly legends! You don't even hang out on here anymore, so you gotta do something!

I thought the last Bowl-O-Rama was at Enterprise Lanes? The one over there off Sunshine behind the KFC + A&W and Taco Bell?

Either way, I'll probably be there. It's two days before my birthday. Might be a good way to celebrate.

date, place, and time

Post by Sam »

Ok, just wanted to post this so no one misses it. It's Friday, 7:30 (or whenever you can make it, last time we stayed pretty late and just hung out), at Enterprise Park Lanes. Take Sunshine East, take a left on Enterprise, can't miss it.

I am bringing the last of the Go Roman shirts. Bring $7 if you want one. There are two awards like mentioned above. One for the best score and one for the goofiest bowler (this will probably go to Denise). Each gets a shirt.

Bring a friend.

See you there!

I might be a bit late, but I'll be there. And yes, I will have the 7 bucks for the shirt this time.

you all might want to bring more than $7 if you want a shirt. You also have to pay for your own bowling and beverages and snacks, etc.

Bowling was fun... did everyone else have fun? And officially Paula is a loser because she showed up after I left.

moving on

Bowling was fun indeed. Thanks to all who attended.

January 1st will mark one full year that BearNotes.com has existed. Some of you may hate me for this but I am afraid that this will be the end of BearNotes, at least with me at the helm.

Why? I simply do not have the motivation to advertise the site like I once did. This has been a fantastic experience for me and I think many of you also had fun. However, I don't want to run this site with only so-so participation. With school and work I have too much else to worry about. Next semester I will be taking over responsibility for creating and maintaning a new Accounting Club website, so that will be quite a chore and I feel I should focus on that since it is related to my future career.

I am willing to leave the responsibility of running BN to another person however. If you are interested you may email me at sambearnotes@yahoo.com. Only serious individuals, who have participated at least somewhat within the past year, would be considered for this. Granted, after the domain expires anyone would be able to purchase it and start anew...but only by getting with me would you be able to keep the original database intact.

Again, thank you all for making my vision come true. This site surpassed my wildest hopes and dreams. I remember that it took all of 13 days for the first real new real user to sign up. I was so happy that day! I have met some of you in real life and I call a few of you friends. I know that many other relationships have been formed through the site, making all the work well worth it. As always...GO ROMAN!
