I heard this song a few months ago, and I think this is a well written song. The song is catchy, and even though the song isn't supposed to be a serious song, it has a lot of truth in it. Cledus T. Judd says he is amazed at how well "One Jack Off" turned out. The way he talks about it, he can't believe that he wrote a song that good. From a songwriter perspective, there are those songs that just gets written by accident by being in the mood. The songs that I am most proud of that I write are the ones that I write on accident. I am just in one of those moods and I just happen to pick up my guitar and come up with one good line that goes good with a few chords and I am hook. I sit there thinking of more stuff that I think would sound good with that one line and fifteen minutes later, a song that I am proud of is finished and yet I have no idea how I done it. I just did it in pieces. It is kind of like doing a big research paper. You do a little research here and you do a little research there and a few months goes by and you have a really big paper. When you read the paper, you are like, did I write this? Also, it is like writing a computer program.
