A quick experiment...

Post by alien8ed »

Ok...someone humor and try this. Sit on the floor...cross legged if possible...but make sure you're comfortable. Put your hands, palms faciing each other, fingers spread comfortably, about 1" apart from each other. Close your eyes and concentrate on the palms of your hands. Feel their temeperature, feel any breeze that blows across them...and then, after a minute or so of concentrating slowly start to move your hands apart and then together (without actually touching). Do this for a minute or two. Did you feel anything odd?

It'd be fantastic if you'd try it instead of making fun of me...

It's a basic Tai Chi/Chi Kung exercise. Supposedly the tingling/warmth/pushing/pulling sensations are associated with your "energy". Nothing new.

He never said that there was anything new involved. Anyways, is Tai Chi a good exercise?

Yeah dude...I'm not trying to be groundbreaking here...just seeing if some people can feel something that they've never felt before.

As for Tai Chi being a good exercise...I don't know that it's good physical exercise...like for your muscles and your cardiovascular system...but it's good for a lot of other things. There's a whole world of things out there that we in the western world don't quite understand.
