Host of "Mid-Day with Charles Sykes" a political talk radio program on WTMJ 620. The show was aired on C-SPAN this morning.

So, is it just an insane amount of traffic going through your blog now that caused it to go down?

I'm going to guess the government killed him. That, or he went over the maximum allowable bandwidth for a free account at blogspot and they suspended/deleted his account.

It's bandwidth. Killed both Blogger and Livejournal, as well as Tinypics.com. I'm working to correct the issue. ($$$).

So...once you develop a blog...how do you go about publicizing it? I mean how did c-span know your blog existed?

C-SPAN didn't know. My blog was found by Charlie Sykes who hosts a political talk show, which was being syndicated on C-SPAN. My guess is he had been searching Google or another engine for something related to the Levin report. Whenever I publish an entry on either Blogger or LiveJournal, it pings a few internet services which list my blog as recently updated. Spiders also manage to index various entries in their search engines.

Some people edit the templates to include keywords and metatags which are more easily found by search engines and such. I don't.
