The "fuck this" is included to say that I give up trying to get it started. Me and TRC came in consistently. Paco stayed in for a while. Two others came in to talk to us once each and we haven't seen them since. So, "fuck this."

I wouldn't chalk up the failure of the idea to anyone else's fault but your own. You gotta advertise man. Bearnotes didn't get 280ish users just by word of mouth *notices its been slow this last week, shit....*. But it is not nice to say fuck this to all of us, some of whom have joined.

Uhh..

It was a bearnotes.com chat channel. Five Bearnotes people came. Not including yourself, who didn't come when I pointed it out to you. I posted a thread in here, and in Site Plugs. No one even posted in the one here until I said I was going to give up. Me saying "Fuck this," has almost nothing to do with any of you because none of you were involved. I don't really care, but I gave up trying. Quit acting like I'm pissed off or something - I'm not. I just gave up going to a channel because no one else did. So I don't really know what you're talking about.

This site, being owned by me, never endorsed this IRC thing. So, it was in no way a "bearnotes.com" thing. Sorry it didn't work for ya, though.

There was a time when I was involved IRC, and actively kept mIRC open to a few servers and several channels. Thing was it mostly operated like this forum does. People post things, I read 'em later, reply, people read the replies later, reply back, and so on. None of the IRC channels I frequent(ed) really have an active chat going. The one that does is a pain in the ass.

I love this forum. I can post something controversial, let you all whine about it, then come back later and give you something else to whine about.
