Rodney Dangerfield

Post by kevin_100 »

I picked up a Springfield Newleader today and read most of the front page headlines and at the very bottom it said that Rodney Dangerfield died.

Damn, another great comedian that will never be heard again. Well, I guess we can still enjoy his cd's and films.

Three or four weeks ago, I read on his site that he was having one of his valves replaced for his heart, but I guess the surgery didn't go as well as it did. I guess it goes to show a person that being rich doesn't make a person live longer. But 82 years is a good long life. Not near long enough to do all the things a person wants to accomplish in life, but it is a nice life. And sheez, he has been blessed throughout life.

You know, Rodney Dangerfield was one of Adam Sandler's favorite comedians. Supposely when Adam Sandler got in trouble by his dad, he would quote a Rodney Dangerfield one liner joke and Adam Sandler would get into trouble because Adam Sandler's dad really like Rodney Dangerfield too.

By the way, Adam Sandler's dad died also, before Rodney Dangerfield. Adam Sandler wrote a song about his dad that is called "Stan The Man" and it is available to listen to at http://www.adamsandler.com He has the video uploaded to his site. You can tell it hurt him deeply when his dad died. No wonder they say "The First Cut Is The Deepest".

If anyone has parents on this board, cherish them, one day you will wake up and they won't be there. Two words I can think of right now, life sucks! But I guess life gives us a little time to spend with our families until it decides its time to depart from one of other.

Later all,

Kevin

Kumpai to Rodney Dangerfield
Apparently there is a fine line between being a street performer and just being drunk in public...

Man, I'm going to miss Rodney Dangerfield. He rocks. Er . . . rocked. What the hell are we going to get by without him? No one else can do his material. I'm going to go out and rent Back To School tonight.
