{THIS POST IS NOT AIMED AT PACO, THERE WAS ANOTHER POST THAT WAS EVIDENTLY DELETED THAT SOME OTHER TOOL PUT UP} (from sam: he edited his post down to nothin so I deleted it)

first of all, I'm printing the shirt, if you want one that is expressly derogatory, print your own.

second of all, I am not cowering in my beliefs, if anyone asks, I'll tell them, don't sweat that.

third of all, if they're not smart enough to understand the shirt, then it's all the more a reason to use the GO ROMAN phrase. The point is to make it clear that most greek social frat and sorrorities have ignorant, or dare I say stupid people. Subtle humor and attacks are much more intelligent, it's not an all out routing of greek life, it's a subtle glancing wound that will irritate far more "intelligent" greeks than would pointing out obvious battle scarred stereotypes.

when you get in an cut-down contest, who wins, the one that uses the most cuss words and attacks obvious flaws, or the one that takes a deeper stance and attacks the person's character?

I think the latter, therefore the shirt will consist of only the front, I'll post a final artwork later tonight. If you want anything different, no one is going to make you buy a shirt.

I think you made a wise choice on the shirt idea. The fact is, as I pointed out, that people have been making fun of the Greek community for years and years...and always about the same thing...buying friends and drinking to much. What you're doing with the front is different and because of that, will get a bigger reaction and be more popular.

I might order one if you can confirm the $6-7 price.

Finally...I don't mean to whore, but someone check out my post in the campus news/events page...I need three more people and I'll be rollin! :)

Heck...I may not actually attend SMS, but I'll sure as hell buy one anyways. LOL. See how many people understand it outside of campus.

Since shirts like to shrink in the wash, I'll probably need a 3XL, just in case. I got a 2X from a shirt shop recently and it decided to shrink down to like and XL. <_< Suck.

After I posted that idea I haven't seen the guy who works at the t-shirt place. I'll call him tonight. But if I remember correctly, you have to buy at least 6 shirts with the same design before they will print them, so you can't print just like 10 shirts with different designs, they all have to be the same. And I think he said $6.something, so we can probably round up to $7. I'll call him tonight and ask about details.

Also, I'm aware this is the wrong forum, but I'm going to ask about it here anyways while I'm thinking about it.... how does one go about paying the $1 to put someone in the kiddie corral? Drop it off in person to Sam? Mail it? Paypal? Just wondering.

Ya know, I guess I "COULD" make it look just like the shirt this year, but... I guess I'd just rather not. It might fade into the mix of GO GREEK tees if it's not different.

So now we've got some people buying, all I'm waiting for is the word from vince, or if not, I can look into getting them printed elseware.

OK, last call here, this is my final draft, if anything looks bad, then let me know, here's the front (no back, sorry Paco, I'm enjoying life at the moment, don't need any flack from frat boys).

Wow. I am flattered by the most visible placement of the bearnotes.com.

Minor thing: can you change to: BearNotes.com (that is, capital N)

Coool. I like it. I can't wait to wear it around, I see at least 20 of those yellow shirts daily.

Im gonna go hang flyers. I can't wait till we get the shirts because a "Go Roman" flyer would be fantastical.

I know I'm new, but I'm in. I'll take a medium.

Edit:

T-Shirt

Post by jdm535s »

Hey, I'm a freshman. I'm on BearNotes because I saw a sign in the library and I thought it would be cool.
I just have never felt the burning desire to go Greek and I think that your shirt is absolutely hilarious. I'd get one but who would I pay and where?

Welcome to smsu and bearnotes! The ordering details are in the works jessica...post your size and your promise to pay and stay tuned.

I imagine we can meet at the library some time once we get the shirts and dish them out. Any thoughts on that anyone?

I must have missed that one,

Anyways, ABOUT THE SHIRT

Depending on whether vince comes through, the will be either 6-7 bucks or they will be around 10

Post sizes on here if you'd like one, or feel free to e-mail me at solid.dave@gmail.com or message at

MSN: solidaintit@hotmail.com

I am fairly trusting, but not to a fault, if you can't come with the cash up front, thats OK, but if anyone sticks me with a size XS of this shirt... I... I guess I'll have a new headband?

Info everyone in the world (or at least on this forum) wants to know:

There's a sale with the company my friend works for. A single-color print shirt (ex: a red shirt but with only one color (like white) text on it) is $6.45 per shirt, minimum order of 6 shirts. Once the design is done (is it done?) let me know and I'll try to hook Dave and my friend up to get the shirts ordered. Sound good?

"What sort of adventures?" I asked him, astonished. "All sorts, Monsieur. Getting on the wrong train. Stopping in an unknown city. Losing your briefcase, being arrested by mistake, spending the night in prison. Monsieur, I believe the word adventure could be defined: an event out of ordinary without being necessarily extraordinary."
