Meade 102 ACHR Telescope with 2 eyepieces, viewfinder, etc

Post by Sam »

I got this telescope a few years ago for a birthday present but never really figured out how to use it. I think someone out there could get much more use out of it than I have!

4" lens, Polar Alignment Finder installed, very heavy tripod with stand in the middle for eyepieces etc, two counterweights, dust covers for lenses, dew shield.....the list goes on, check out the pictures! The metal piece on top is to mount a larger viewfinder.

The two eyepieces are:
1) MEADE Series 3000 Plossl 25mm multi-coated
2) ORION Plossl 10mm multi-coated

I have the instruction books for everything, plus a book called Your Guide to the Night Sky to get you started finding things.

If you know how to operate this thing correctly (which I don't :)), the motors will keep an object (star, moon, planet, etc) centered in the eyepiece. Lesser telescopes that do not have this feature require you to manually track the object as in moves through the night sky!

Rest assured they are no nicks or scratches of any kind on the big lens on the end.

I won't ship this baby through the mail. But I will deliver within 35 miles of campus. Email me (or PM through the board, or AIM me at "TokraPeople") at sambearnotes@yahoo.com with questions or to setup a time to come take a look at it in person. Also, post questions or offers below!

Make me an offer!
