Earlier this week, Kofi Annan sent a team to Israel to investigate charges that a UN ambulance driver was seen loading a Kassam rocket into his vehicle.
Earlier this week, 24 members of the UN Relief and Works Agency (UNRWA) were arrested by Israel and held on charges of terrorism. Turns out they work for Hamas.
Earlier this week we learned during the presidential debates that Bush refuses to join the International Court of Justice, which is a UN operation which would have the authority to bring criminal charges against our diplomats and military service members.
Today Kofi Annan announced he's sending a team to Darfur to determine if genocide took place. This is AFTER Bush spoke to the UN regarding Darfur. AFTER Colin Powell reported that genocide has taken place. AFTER the UN asked us for $200 million in humanitarian aid for Darfur. And AFTER the UN Security Council has held daily meetings to discuss the situation in Darfur.
Today the Duelfer report estimates that Saddam Hussein illegally diverted over $1 billion from the UN's Oil-for-Food program. The money went to fatten up his military and industrial capabilities.
Is it just me, or is the UN having serious credibility issues?
Should the U.S. pull out of the UN?

The UN is a joke. We are the most powerful, richest country in the world. If we unite with anyone, it's only for their benefit, not ours. If we pulled out of the UN, what would we lose? Countries aren't going to put an embargo on us. Certainly noone's going to declare war on us. As a matter of fact, I'm somewhat for an imperialistic America. Most of the world hates us and refers to us as "fat, lazy Americans." We'll see who's fat and lazy when there's an American flag waving over what used to be their nation's capitol. Ahaha...ahaha..haha.ha...
