Goodbye
Just a quick goodbye to you all. The Navy has called me back, and tomorrow morning I'll be sailing off into the sunset aboard a shiny new gazillion dollar machine that I hope not to break. Thanks to you all for the interesting conversations on BearNotes, and to Paula for showing me her ghetto booty....

The lead topic on C-SPAN's "Washington Journal" today was mandatory retirement ages for federal judges, including justices on the Supreme Court. The topic was based upon an article written by Norman Ornstein and published in yesterday's Washington Post. Click here to read To Break the Stal...

Yes, they knelt to God. It happened. Get over it. At the same time, Thanksgiving's meaning has deviated since the original event. That's happened, too, and it's still happening. Get over it. I agree that the holiday today does not have the same meaning as the original Thanksgiving dinner. However, ...

Rewriting History
What is wrong with America, when we're so afraid of offending someone that we rewrite history in order to make it politically correct? Let me tell you something. The world, today, is full of good and bad. The world, yesterday, was full of good and bad. The world, tomorrow, will be full of good and b...

Donate some DVDs to me for the weekend. I'm at my office until 5 p.m. Wednesday, and then bored at home for the rest of the weekend. Anyone kind enough to loan me a couple DVDs so I don't go insane will be my new best friend.

Re: Napster, iTunes, and other junk
"Pepsi doesn't charge us to be on campus!" Whoever wrote that should read the contracts SMSU has signed with the vendors. Those machines which are not refilled by SMSU entities cough up a huge percentage of their revenue to SMSU, not to mention the section regarding downtime and maintenan...

Re: Gift Ideas
Ok, so I'm really bad at thinking of what to give people for Christmas/the holidays. So, as stupid as it may be, I'm creating this thread so we can all share gift ideas with each other. Anyone have anything really great they'd like to share? Yeah, don't give any. Other than my wife and daughter, I ...
